MASS MURDER IN VIRGINIA, U.S.A.

On April 16, 2007 in Blacksburg, Virginia, U.S.A., on the campus of Virginia Tech, a student killed 32 others and then himself in what is the worst mass murder in the history of the United States of America to that date. The details of this horrible event are well documented on the internet and I will not repeat them here.

The killer was Cho Seung-Hui, born January 18, 1984 in Seoul, South Korea (photo and birth-data from Wikipedia). His time of birth is unknown to me so I have used noon in order to minimize to insignificance any errors in planetary motion for the day. He committed suicide between 0945h and 1000h EDT after killing 32 others including students and teachers at Virginia Tech. His heliogram is shown below.

 In the heliogram, the Sun is placed in the center of the great circle and the planets are arranged around it just as they were when Cho Seung-Hui was born. His heliogram is of the Hemispheric Type, found in 8.3% of the general population. There are two stelliums on the heliogram and no other significant planetary patterns. One stellium is composed of Neptune, Jupiter and Uranus all in sector 9 and the other stellium is composed of Saturn, Pluto and Venus in sectors 7 and 8. Stelliums are 3 or more planets all contained within an arc of 30° or less and represent a concentration of energy in the solar system

The column to the right of the heliogram shows the colors used for the planets and the address of the planets within a sector. For example, Mercury = 708 indicates that Mercury was in sector 7 at 8°; Venus = 726 indicates that Venus was in sector 7 at 26°. There are 30° in each sector.

The position of the planets at the time of birth are called Natal Planets. The planets never stop orbiting the Sun however and the planets in their ongoing cycles are called Transiting Planets. The relationship between the Natal planets and the Transiting planets at the time of an important event in someone's life is always significant.

The exact moment when Cho Seung-Hui killed himself is unknown at this time but experts have stated that it was sometime between 0945h EDT and 1000h EDT. The killings began around 0700h EDT. I have calculated the positions of the transiting planets at the time of the killings and compared them to the natal positions. The box below reveals the startling evidence.

 The planets in the left column shown by their first two initials are the Natal Planets for Cho Seung-Hui at his birth. The planets distributed across the top of the table are the Transiting Planets at the time of the killings. The most significant relationships between the two are shown within the boxes by color for the aspect. All of the aspects shown have an orb of less than 1° from perfection and most are within a few minutes (60" in each degree) from perfection.  ( " = minutes)

•    conjunctions   eg. The conjunction between natal Venus and transiting Earth is within 8" of perfection.
•    squares          eg. The square aspect between natal Mars and transiting Pluto is with 4" of perfection.
•    135°              eg. The aspect between natal Pluto and transiting Uranus is within 3" of perfection.
•    sextiles          eg. The sextile aspect between natal Mercury and transiting Venus is within 51" of perfection.
•    150°              eg. The aspect between natal Earth and transiting Pluto is within 3" of perfection.
•    45°                eg. The aspect between natal Venus and transiting Jupiter is within 25" of perfection.

    SIGNIFICANCE OF THE EVIDENCE

The evidence is very significant. The expected number of aspects formed between all the transiting and natal planets for any one moment in time is 3, using the 6 aspects listed above with an aspect orb of 1° or less. (Dean and Mather, Recent Advances)

 The actual evidence reveals 10 aspects, more than three times the expected number.

 Aspects from transiting Pluto to natal planets will only occur once in a lifetime if at all; those from Uranus only once every 84 years and from Jupiter, once every 12 years. The aspects made by Mercury occur once every 88 days, by Venus once every 244 days and by Earth once every 365 days. I do not think for a moment that the ten highly significant aspects formed by the transiting planets to Cho Seung-Hui's natal planets at the time of the killings is mere coincidence. Each of us is independently connected to our solar system and terrible events such as the killings at Virginia Tech show how intensely that connection might manifest in individual behavior. I am not apologizing for or excusing Cho Seung-Hui's actions but had anyone been following his transiting planet history they would have seen the warning signs long before they manifested.

The planetary cycles are well known and the location of any planet in 5, 10 more more years into the future can be calculated easily and accurately on a home computer given the software commercially available today. I encourage each of you to follow the aspects formed by the transiting planets to the natal planets on your heliogram. Such a study will definitely illuminate why you do the things you do at any point in your life experience.
