COSMIC DATA-BANK

PROJECT 3: CHESS CHAMPIONS

In 2003, Erik M. of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, sent some information to me about the best chess players in the world. He was curious about the cosmic profile of the group and so I prepared the heliograms and spreadsheets and put the analysis here on the website for all to see. The research committee has brought Project 3 up to date (July 2008) with the addition to it of the Grand Masters and International Grand Masters for the past five years who had previously not been included. The total is now 121 women and 123 men for a total of 244 champions of the game. This is a boost of 81 players, mostly women, to the total from the project presented here 5 years ago.

The process of getting these results involves gathering the birth information, entering that information into Matrix's WinStar Plus software and producing the heliograms. The information for each of the planets is based on their position in the sectors as viewed from the Sun (heliocentric view). Information from the heliograms is then entered into a Microsoft Access 2002 database and analyzed. The database for the male and female chess players is composed of 123 men and 121 women, and here are their cosmic secrets. This is the first project which sees almost equal numbers of male and female participants.

I heartily thank WIKIPEDIA for their extensive, referenced coverage of the world of chess. It was the best coverage that I could find on the 'net and the easiest and fastest to navigate.

1. THE EARTH

The Earth orbits the Sun every 365 days. If you take that orbit and divide it into twelve equal sectors you will find that the Earth spends 30 days in each sector. Where the Earth was located when these Chess Masters were born is revealed in the table below.

SECTOR WOMEN COUNT RANK MEN COUNT RANK
1 9   12 3
2 13 2 14 2
3 10   15  (12.2%)
4 13 2 3  (2.4%) low
5 12   11
6 11   11
7 14  (11.6%) 1 11
8 14  (11.6%) 1 11
9 7   10
10 5  (4.1%) low 6
11 7   7
12 6   12
TOTALS 121   123

Of the nine planets in our solar system, the Earth is the only one the cosmic address of which will tell you what season it was at the time. The highest counts for men occur in the Fall season and the highest for women are seen in the first two-thirds of Spring. The lowest count for men occurs in early Winter and for women it is in early Summer. These two low sectors are opposite to each other on the heliogram. All the seasons I have referred to are for the Northern Hemisphere. The differences between the high and low counts are very significant for both sexes.

2. MERCURY

The following table shows the percentage of players in the 12 sectors for the planet Mercury. Mercury has a distinctly elliptical orbit around the Sun which it completes every 88 days, and consequently spends a different amount of time in each of the sectors. This has been taken into consideration in the table below. There is no direct relationship between the cosmic address of Mercury and the season of the year on Earth.

WOMEN MEN

4 9 5 1.8 1 4 5 5 1.0
5 5 6 0.8 low 5 14 6 2.3 2
6 9 7 1.3   6 5 7 0.7 low

12 6 7 0.8 low 12 8 7 1.1
Totals 121 88 days     Totals 123 88 days

The differences for the placement of Mercury between the men and women champions is very obvious. The women see an equally high daily count in sectors 4, 9 and 11 while the men have only one high daily count and that is in sector 2. The LOW counts are equally different; the women show an equally low count in sectors 5, 10, and 12, while the men have a single low count in sector 6.

3. VENUS

Venus has an almost perfectly circular orbit around the Sun which it completes every 244 Earth days. Venus spends a little more than 20 Earth days in each sector. The table below shows the distribution of Venus in the sectors for these chess champions.

WOMEN MEN
SECTOR COUNT AS % RANK SECTOR COUNT AS% RANK
1 12 9.9 3 1 8 6.5

12 7 5.8   12 11 8.9
TOTALS 121     TOTALS 123

Once again there are many differences between the two groups but there are some similarities. Sector 11 was the high count for the men and the second highest count for the women. Sector 6 gave the highest count for the women and the third highest count for the men.  There was no agreement on the sector with the lowest count between the two groups.

4. MARS

The following table shows the distribution of Mars through the 12 sectors. Mars does not spend the same amount of time in each sector due to its elliptical orbit and this has been taken into consideration. Mars orbits the Sun once every 686 Earth days.

WOMEN MEN

12 12 47 0.25 2 12 5 47 0.11
Totals 121 686     Totals 123 686

For Mars there is no agreement on high and low count sectors between the two teams and yet the vast majority of the women and men were all born within the same range of years. Women have their highest count in sector 1 while for men it is sector 10. Women have the lowest count in sector 11 while for men it is sector 9.

5. HELIOGRAM TYPES

For a review of the heliogram types use the following link: HELIOGRAM TYPES

To see the variation in heliogram types in all the projects completed to date use the following link: SUMMARY

The table below displays the heliogram type counts for the male and female chess champions, the total count and the total count as a percent of the entire group.

HELIOGRAM TYPE MALE COUNT FEMALE COUNT TOTAL COUNT AS PERCENT

There is much agreement between the two groups on Heliogram Types as verified by the counts. The figures in brackets in the final column are those of the control group, Adams & Eves.

6. PLANETARY PATTERNS

The table below shows the distribution of planetary patterns on the heliograms of these chess masters. Some heliograms have only one planetary pattern, and some have as many as 3 separate planetary patterns, the most common being kite + stellium + t-square. The most frequently seen two-pattern combination was a stellium plus a t-square. Three of the heliograms, two females and one male, did not show any of the 5 common planetary patterns but they did have other patterns. The following abbreviations are used:

  • T - t-square                     A code such as T + K indicates the presence of a t-square and a kite on a heliogram.
  • S - stellium
  • K- kite                            A code such as S + K + GX indicates the presence of a stellium, kite and grand cross on a heliogram.
  • GX - grand cross
  • GT - grand trine               A code such as S + GT indicates the presence of a stellium and grand trine on a heliogram

The grand trine is the only planetary pattern that is seldom seen in the heliograms of high achievers in any of the projects that have been completed at the CD-B. None of the participants in this project show a grand trine only pattern and the grand trine in combination is seen in only seven of the 244 heliograms, or 2.9% of the entire group. For more about the grand trine use this link:  GT

7. GRANDMASTERS, INTERNATIONAL GRANDMASTERS & MORE

The world of chess is one filled with intrigue, characters, politics, and scandal, just for starters. The cast of dominant men and women in the game are fascinating and in the table below is a look at the cosmic details of 20 of the very best male players the world has come to know. I have obtained the championship details from WIKIPEDIA.

When looking at the heliogram types, more than 50% of the male champions have a Bowl-type heliogram, the same percentage as in the general population. The female champions however show only 5 of the 13 champions with a Bowl-type heliogram, a percentage of only 38%. The men champions have more planetary patterns than do the women. There is not a single Kite pattern in any of the female champions while 25% of the men have a Kite pattern on their heliogram.
