COSMIC DATA-BANK PROJECT 22 1,441 HOMOSEXUAL OR BISEXUAL MEN AND WOMEN People often ask the following, "What causes homosexuality?", but the question is not thoughtful. Homosexuality is not a disease and it isn't something that's broken and needs fixing. It is a universally known variation on the theme of love and sexuality. But still, many people wonder why Hank finds Trev so attractive when Trev's sister is a knockout. Who knows why Jon loves Mary or Marco or anybody? What makes one person in a crowd so appealing, so unforgettable to someone else? It is a complex question and the research team at the Cosmic Data-Bank have wondered if there was a cosmic profile for homosexuality and bisexuality. There are lots of opinions on this subject to be sure, and the most widely accepted cluster around the 'nature' or 'nurture' concepts with science leaning towards 'nature' and some religious groups leaning towards 'nurture'. Almost all of the 389 females and 1,052 males in this study have made huge contributions to the people of this planet in one way or another and that is one of their common bonds; they are very talented as well as creative and upon reading their individual stories I could not help but be very impressed. But as in all large groups of individuals there are a few really nasty ones and they are included as well. The earliest listing in this study is for the year 12CE (Roman emperor Caligula) and the most recent is for the year 1989CE (Tully Satre). Included in the list are the likes of Emperor Hadrian, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Alexander the Great, Elizabeth Arden, Drew Barrymore, Tegan and Sara, and Janis Joplin. It is an eclectic group. A SEASONAL INFLUENCE? The best way to tell if there is a seasonal influence is to look at the incidence of birth for all the months of the year and see if there is a preference to be born in a particular month or season of the year. However the months of the year do not have the same number of days and so as with all the other projects completed at the Cosmic Data-Bank, a circle is drawn around the Sun and divided into 12 sectors, each 30 degrees in size. These correspond roughly to the months but the sectors are exactly the same size and the comparison will be between equals. Are more homosexuals born in one sector or season of the year than another? EARTH IN THE SECTORS The following table shows the count for planet Earth in the 12 sectors for all 1,441 members of the study group.
The only sector agreement between the men and women is sector 9 which houses the highest count for the women and the 3rd highest count for the men. There is no agreement in any of the other sectors. The difference in the low and high count for women is very significant. Almost twice as many women in this study were born in sector 9 than in sector 4. The sectors can be grouped into the seasons for planet Earth. For the Northern Hemisphere, when the Earth enters Sector 1 it is the first day of Autumn, entering Sector 4 begins Winter, Sector 7 begins Spring and Sector 10 begins Summer. The following table shows the results.
The births of the men in this study are seen to be distributed fairly equally through all the seasons of the year. The women in the study showed a slight preference, 55%, to be born in the Spring and Summer with 45% of them born in the Fall and Winter seasons. A seasonal influence does not appear to be a factor. IS MERCURY A FACTOR? Mercury speeds around the Sun every 88 days, slightly more than four times per year. The following table shows the count for planet Mercury in each of the sectors at the time of birth of the 1,441 individuals in this study. Mercury spends different and predictable amounts of time in each sector and this must be considered. The following table displays the results.
NOTE: Mercury in the sectors cannot be related to the seasons of the year. Mercury moves so quickly around the Sun it could be in any sector during any of the seasons. When Earth is in sector 7, in the northern hemisphere it is always Spring, but when Mercury is in sector 7 it could be Spring in the northern hemisphere or it could be some other season. Only Earth's position can be associated with the seasons we experience. The men have the highest count and women the lowest count for Mercury in sector 12. Both the men and women have significant counts in sectors 3 and 11. Since the planet Mercury appears to be connected with our internal wiring, the placement of Mercury in the sectors at our birth may indeed be a factor in deciding to whom and to what we become attracted throughout our lifetime. IS VENUS A FACTOR? In its almost perfectly circular orbit around the Sun, Venus spends 19 days in each sector. The observed counts for Venus in the sectors are very similar for the men with a little more difference seen for the women where the count for the high sector is almost twice what it is for the low count sector.
IS MARS A FACTOR? Mars, like Mercury, does not spend the same amount of time in each sector, and so again this must be taken into consideration. The table below shows the distribution through the sectors for planet Mars from the heliograms of the 1,441 participants. The table below has a column for the number of days Mars spends in each sector and when the actual count for a sector is divided by the days spent in the sector the resulting 'count per day' is revealed.
The results for Mars show little resemblance between the men and women for the counts. The women have their low count in sector 5 where the men have their second highest count. The high count for men is in sector 4 and the high count for women is sector 10 which is the opposite to sector 4. The results indicate that Mars may be a factor in determining sexual preference.
